Shop the Health and Beauty Department

I have been shopping online a lot today for beauty products and other beautiful items. I have been wanting to buy a pretty diamond cross necklace lately. Searching for my perfect necklace takes me a long time, because it has to be exactly how I like it. The price has to be perfect too.

While searching on google I found this site called shopwiki.com that helped me shop a lot easier! It searches for the specific necklace that I want and shows the results from every different kind of store on the internet. You can also easily set the price range before you search for you item. This site made it so much faster for me to find my perfect diamond necklace.

I checked out the health and beauty department of the site too, what can I say, you know I love beauty stuff. It was so amazing, that I had to share with you. If you click on the cosmetic guide and foundation for example, it will tell you a great deal of information all about foundation for certain skin types and whatnot… So not only will this site help you to find the right product, but you can learn about beauty at the same time!

So do your part to help out the economy, by shopping today for beauty products or whatever shiny objects you desire! :)

Beauty Sweepstakes Freebie Friday the 13th!

Happy Friday the 13th! I hope you all are having a scary beautiful day!

Benihana’s has a daily sweepstakes for a grand prize of dinner for 8 people. They are giving away 12 of these grand prizes, one a month until December 2009! This is a really long sweepstakes, but I love Benihana’s! Only one entry per household.

Sephora and Boscia is giving away a five day/four night round trip for two to Tokyo Japan. And you will get to tour Boscia’s Clean Room Facility in Japan, along with Boscia’s products. This one time sweepstakes also has 3 second place prizes for Boscia’s products worth $200 each.

Mineral Makeup Coverage

Mineral makeup is huge right now. I do not personally use mineral makeup, but most of my friends do and my Mom does too. My friend has asked me why I do not use mineral makeup? No reason. I have just never tried it.

Mineral makeup contains natural ingredients, including Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide. Having sunscreen in makeup never hurts that is for sure. And some say that Zinc oxide actually help people with acne, which is one reason why many acne prone say that mineral makeup heals their acne.

Please be aware though, that just wearing mineral makeup alone without sunscreen is not enough protection for everyday running around. Remember to apply a ¼ teaspoon of sunscreen to your face everyday.

Since, researching mineral makeup and sunscreen more, I have found that wearing a physical sunscreen with mineral makeup is best. If you wear a chemical sunscreen the oxides in the makeup can destabilize the ingredients in the chemical sunscreen. Many people do however, say that is taking it too far and that there is little affect by wearing mineral makeup over chemical sunscreen. So it is up to you and your instincts.

My Mom has asked me to look for good mineral makeup that provides great coverage, but still feels light. Mineralsecrets.com looks like a great place to me, what do you think? There is no membership to join and they have free access to aestheticians to answer any of your questions. Plus, you can buy trial sizes, I recommend buying a trial size of pretty much any new beauty product to test it out. Try out the mineral makeup product for a week or two in order to see how you like it and if it breaks you out or not.

Miracle in a Beauty Bottle!

Beauty skincare products have all kinds of marketing hype. Advertising, we all know not to fall for it, but it can be so hard to resist. We all want the next miracle in a bottle! It is too easy to try the next newest thing, because what if it is better!? Stick to what works, don’t stray.

I already know I want to try one new skincare product this fall, I’ll let you know about it soon! Just remember to give each product a month! This is very important, the skin will often break out when switching to a new product, but calm down after a couple weeks. Giving a product a month will also save money too, because if the product works you save and find a new miracle! Plus, it all comes down to the beauty product’s ingredients.
