Heavy Coverage Liquid Foundation

Some women need a heavy coverage foundation to cover all of their red spots. Acne, Sun spots, acne post marks, rosacea…can unfortunately all cause redness. It is very hard to find that perfect shade with the coverage you need. Heavy foundation is easily buildable without looking cakey. Apply a little at a time, it goes a long ways. Here are some rave reviews for heavy coverage foundation from makeupalley.com

Revlon Color Stay – When first applied foundation looks light, but will look darker after it dries. It’s a little on the pink and dark side, so you may need to adjust accordingly.

Rimmel Lasting Finish – not drying, gives dewey look. Appears darker but is lighter after applied.

EL Double Wear – The color is the bottle may go on lighter than they appear.

Mac Studio Tech – creamy foundation.

Kevin Aucoin SSE – has very heavy coverage and you may have to mix it with a moisturizer to lighten it up a bit.

How you apply your foundation can also affect how it looks on your skin. Apply foundation with a wet thin sponge, thick sponges can be too heavy and pick up too much foundation. Cheap thin sponges will give you a dewy look not too cakey or matte. Brushes also work really well to blend, but can take extra time, try a skunk or flat brush.
You may need to mix foundation colors and brands to get the right shade for your skin. Also, try using a concealer for red spots for extra coverage, if needed.
