Beauty Routine Application

Do you apply eye shadow or foundation first? I apply my eye makeup first because then if I mess up, I can wipe away the eye makeup and not mess up my foundation.

Applying my eye makeup first also lets my sunscreen dry. Remember to let your sunscreen dry for 10 to 30 minutes before applying foundation. You want the sunscreen to work at its’ best, and all sunscreens are formulated in a certain way. Applying foundation or moisturizer right after sunscreen can disrupt the film former of the sunscreen.

So an everyday skincare beauty routine looks like this:

1. Wash face

2. Apply moisturizer

3. Wait until moisturizer dries

4. Apply 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen to face and 1/4 teaspoon to neck

5. Wait about 15 minutes

6. Apply makeup

Shop the Health and Beauty Department

I have been shopping online a lot today for beauty products and other beautiful items. I have been wanting to buy a pretty diamond cross necklace lately. Searching for my perfect necklace takes me a long time, because it has to be exactly how I like it. The price has to be perfect too.

While searching on google I found this site called shopwiki.com that helped me shop a lot easier! It searches for the specific necklace that I want and shows the results from every different kind of store on the internet. You can also easily set the price range before you search for you item. This site made it so much faster for me to find my perfect diamond necklace.

I checked out the health and beauty department of the site too, what can I say, you know I love beauty stuff. It was so amazing, that I had to share with you. If you click on the cosmetic guide and foundation for example, it will tell you a great deal of information all about foundation for certain skin types and whatnot… So not only will this site help you to find the right product, but you can learn about beauty at the same time!

So do your part to help out the economy, by shopping today for beauty products or whatever shiny objects you desire! :)

Drugstore Makeup vs. High-End Makeup

Makeup! I do not talk much about makeup. I do love makeup and love doing up my eyes. However, I try to focus on skincare first, because having nice skin under all of that makeup is very important and what I have sought after for many years…and still do.

Also, I do not see the point in buying expensive makeup when drugstore makeup is just as good, if not better. Foundation is a little hard to buy in drugstores and I do recommend going to a makeup counter and letting a makeup consultant help you determine the correct color for your skin. Make sure you are getting the right type of makeup for your skin though! One time I went to the makeup counter and the makeup consultant gave me foundation for combination skin, not oily skin! And you all know just how oily my skin is! Rivers! So just a heads up there.

Although, it is possible to buy foundation from the drugstore! Just read a lot of reviews before you go shopping. See if the majority of the people are saying that one particular brand is too dark and to buy the foundation that is a shade lighter. Check out makeupalley.com or drugstore.com for some great makeup reviews!
