Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to all you great dad’s out there! Thank you for always being there for your children and all that you do. May God bless our dads or father-figures in our lives!

Below is a video of the history of Father’s Day, that I thought was very moving. The first Father’s Day occurred on July 5th, 1908 when all these men passed away. Grace Golden Clayton mentioned it to her pastor in order to honor these fathers, as shown in the video. Also the history channel talks about Spokane Washington, where Sonora Smart Dodd heard a sermon in 1909 on Mother’s Day and she thought there should be a Father’s Day too. She wanted to show how thankful she was for her father who took care of her and her siblings after her mother’s death.
 
“In 1924, President Coolidge recommended that Father’s Day become a national holiday. President Johnson designated the third Sunday of June to be Father’s Day in 1966. It was not until 1972 that President Nixon instituted Father’s Day as a national observance.”(history.com)

Positive Life

Count your blessings. Too often we can let negative attitudes get to us.
I just read this article, Gratitude Walk, by Susan Ouellette at Scrubsmag.com and I think it is something we all need to do everyday. This nurse talks about how she takes a walk everyday at 5:30am with her dog. During the first half of her walk she thanks God for everything she has: her ability to walk, her dog, a career she loves, the people she can help… And during the second half of her walk she ask God for help in all areas of her life. By doing this everyday she appreciates her life more and has more peace and courage to face problems in everyday life.

Developing these healthy habits is essential to a happy healthy life. And we do have to work at remembering to take the time to be alone, be thankful, and ask for help. If you cannot go for a walk, then take your gratitude time with God in your daily commute. All it takes is a couple minutes each day and you will see the peace coming into your life.

This article touch me, because I have been praying more recently. I have always prayed at nighttime and before a big test or whatnot, however I have started to pray morning gratitude prayers and found more peace in my life too. I hope you find this article to be helpful and make you life more peaceful, joyful, and positive.

Freedom of Makeup – Memorial Day

Thank you to all the soldiers who have fought to keep America safe and fought for our freedoms! Freedom of speech, freedom of arms, and freedom to wear makeup! Okay, I know there are a lot more freedoms…We will never forget! May we never take for granted our wonderful freedoms. Freedom is not free! Thank you for the soldiers who have laid down their lives for freedom and this great country. May God watch over all the soldiers who are fighting to protect America now. May God bless our soldiers and America!

Skincare Antioxidants = Chocolate

I hope you are getting your feel of chocolate today, especially that really dark chocolate, like 85% cocoa. Hey, it contains antioxidants, which is really good for your skin!

Happy Easter today! Easter makes everything new and is a fresh start in life. It is so amazing that Jesus Christ died for all of us, even though none of us deserve it, so we can all have eternal life in heaven! And Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior raised from the dead, He conquer death and took all of our sins so we could have everlasting life. That is pure love. If He did not raise from the dead, Christianity would have died with Him. How wonderful that we are all forgiven! “  Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”  (Hebrews 7) I hope all of you are filled with the love of Jesus this Easter. And enjoying making you skin more beautiful by eating yummy chocolate filled with antioxidants.

Live a Peaceful Life

Stress does not cause acne, but it can aggravate pimples. Living a worry-free live is difficult, but a more peaceful life can be yours. Having less stress in your life not only will help your skin, but it will help your overall well-being. Less stress will help you live longer and will help your relationships be stronger too.

A new study has found that people who believe in God have less stress and anxiety in their lives. “Compared to non-believers, the religious participants showed significantly less activity in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), a portion of the brain that helps modify behavior by signaling when attention and control are needed, usually as a result of some anxiety-producing event like making a mistake. The stronger their religious zeal and the more they believed in God, the less their ACC fired in response to their own errors, and the fewer errors they made”(medicalnewstoday.com).

God does bring peace and hope. God is all about a fresh start. Each and every day is a new beginning.

Merry Christmas! I hope you all are having a beautiful Christmas with your loved ones today.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was born on Christmas day. Celebrate the greatest gift you will ever receive today. The gift of life. God gave his sinless, perfect son to humble himself into a baby human boy in a manger.

And the loving Lord Jesus Christ gave his life to erase all of our sins, for we are all sinners. All we have to do is accept this wonderful gift and we will be forgive of our sins and we will go to heaven.

I hope you all are with loved ones and enjoy lots of turkey today!

Thank God we live in a beautiful nation and for all of our wonderful freedoms! Thank you to the American soldiers who have fought for our freedoms and for the soldiers fighting now!

I am thankful for my readers on my Femme Façade beauty blog. Thank you! And thank God for our freedoms to wear makeup and skincare products. Thank God for the Internet and all of the knowledge we have gained about skincare!
