Omega 3 Vitamins

My family and I all take Omega 3 vitamin supplements for benefits such as, beautiful skin, better brain function, and cardiovascular health. However, these Omega vitamins can sometimes produce a fishy side affect: Fish Burps!

If you have ever taken Omega supplements you know what I am talking about. The fish oil in the pills will cause you to burp later in the day, leaving a not-so-pleasant fish taste in your mouth.

I have racked my brain on how to solve this fishy dilemma. I tried eating both before and after taking the vitamins, but alas the fishy taste won. Perhaps, the Omega pills are not helping my brain function better after all…hehe.

Fortunately, the producers of Omega 3 pills brain power must have gained a boost from the pills, because there are now Omega 3 vitamins, with no fish burps. It actually says on the bottle, “No fish burps!” haha…

Fish OIl Omega-3 and Beauty Within

Fish oil is known to help cardiovascular problems. And Omega-3 helps people with eczema and psoriasis. Omega-3 also benefit’s the memory and could help people from developing Alzheimer’s. Scientists say fish oil is anti-inflammatory and good for acne too.

It seems to me that Omega-3 is known more to protect your overall health, but mostly on the inside. Taking an Omega-3 pill or upping my intake of salmon, halibut, almonds, walnuts, and soy sound like a good idea for my memory.

Make sure your Omega-3 pills have more DHA than EPA. DHA has been proven recently to be better for your memory than EPA. Check for a DHA of at least 220mg. Research is also showing that DHA is better than EPA for cardiovascular as well. Look for Omega-3 pills that say pharmaceutical grade, these are concentrated oils. Omega-3 fish oil pills should be in ester form not triglycride, because ester is more easily absorbed by the body. Make sure your fish oil is molecularly distilled so that all the contaminants are removed.

Also it is recommended right now to NOT take more than 1,000mg of fish oil per day. And do not exceed more than 2g of DHA and EPA per day in supplements or 3g in supplements and food combined.
