Count your blessings. Too often we can let negative attitudes get to us.
I just read this article, Gratitude Walk, by Susan Ouellette at Scrubsmag.com and I think it is something we all need to do everyday. This nurse talks about how she takes a walk everyday at 5:30am with her dog. During the first half of her walk she thanks God for everything she has: her ability to walk, her dog, a career she loves, the people she can help… And during the second half of her walk she ask God for help in all areas of her life. By doing this everyday she appreciates her life more and has more peace and courage to face problems in everyday life.
Developing these healthy habits is essential to a happy healthy life. And we do have to work at remembering to take the time to be alone, be thankful, and ask for help. If you cannot go for a walk, then take your gratitude time with God in your daily commute. All it takes is a couple minutes each day and you will see the peace coming into your life.
This article touch me, because I have been praying more recently. I have always prayed at nighttime and before a big test or whatnot, however I have started to pray morning gratitude prayers and found more peace in my life too.
