Too many perfumes are made too fast. And they all smell so very similar. Plus many consumers stick to their loyal brand.
I have gone to only buying one perfume bottle a year. I use to buy more, but perfumes really do not last longer than a year due to time, air, and the sun. And I have found that one bottle lasts me the whole year.
